Born and raised in the vibrant landscapes of Bolivia, Dr. Yani’s journey into the world of dentistry is as rich and diverse as her heritage. Fluent in Spanish, German, Portuguese, and English, her multilingual skills reflect a global perspective on dental health, allowing her to connect with patients from all walks of life.
From Bolivia to Brazil: The Beginning of a Dental Journey
Dr. Yani’s passion for dentistry led her to the prestigious University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she pursued and completed her Doctor in Dental Surgery degree in 1998. This choice was marked by a bold decision to forego a full Bright Scholarship in the United States, showcasing her commitment to following her heart and carving her own path in the dental field.
Upon graduating, Dr. Yani returned to Bolivia, dedicating her skills to volunteering at the Cancer Center Institute. Here, she provided free, life-changing dental care to cancer patients, affirming her belief in giving back to the community and using her expertise where it was needed most. Her journey then took her to North Miami, where she completed her Postdoctoral residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, further honing her skills alongside professionals from Yale University, particularly in treating patients with cleft lip and palate.
Dr. Yani’s academic journey is a testament to her dedication and excellence. From 2003 to 2006, she attended Nova Southeastern University, where she not only graduated among the top 5 students but also joined the Endodontic & Prosthodontic Honor programs. Her name appeared on the “Dean’s List” for three consecutive years, a recognition of her outstanding achievements and contributions to the dental school.
